EUROCLYDON

Eu*roc"ly*don, n. Etym: [NL., fr. Gr. i. e. a north-east wind, as in the Latin Yulgate Euro-aquilo.]

Definition: A tempestuous northeast wind which blows in the Mediterranean. See Levanter. A tempestuous wind called Euroclydon. Acts xxvii. 14.
