Mabuhay and welcome to WordFinder.Cafe!
I’m Ric Galit, an Electrical Engineer with a knack for data mining and creating mobile-friendly websites.
I was at Level 491 in WordScapes when I had the urge to create a small utility on my computer that can unscramble the letters from the game. The next thing I knew, it became a full-pledge website. I can’t believe the initial database seed was 285,233 words. It’s now at 325,708 words. It was a blast to create this game helper – a must-have for anyone serious about winning word games.
I’m always proud when I can get a full-length word, and WordScapes will tell me “Impressive.” Then I get stuck guessing the remaining terms that start with this and that letter. My engineering mindset will systematically generate words by changing only one character and trying out all the possibilities. In this situation, I decided to code a program that can check a database of words and filter it based on specific requirements. Since a single player can play most word games, my goal is not to cheat but to solve a problem.
I’m sure it’s already apparent what warm concoction on a mug I’m drinking when I was tinkering for a name to my new project – coffee! Double White Coffee, anyone?
