EUGENOL

Eu"ge*nol, n. Etym: [Eugenia + -ol.] (Chem.)

Definition: A colorless, aromatic, liquid hydrocarbon, C10H12O2 resembling the phenols, and hence also called eugenic acid. It is found in the oils of pimento and cloves.
