Chab"a*site, Cab"a*zite, n. Etym: [Gr. (Min.)

Definition: A mineral occuring in glassy rhombohedral crystals, varying, in color from white to yellow or red. It is essentially a hydrous silicate of alumina and lime. Called also chabasie.
