URCHIN

Ur"chin, n. Etym: [OE. urchon, irchon, a hedgehog, OF. ireƧon, eriƧon, heri, herichon, F. hƩrisson, a derivative fr. L. ericius, from er a hedgehog, for her; akin to Gr. Herisson.]

Definition: A hedgehog.
