SPERMATOPHORE

1. (Physiol.)

Definition: Same as Spermospore.

2. (Zoöl.)

Definition: A capsule or pocket inclosing a number of spermatozoa. They are present in many annelids, brachiopods, mollusks, and crustaceans. In cephalopods the structure of the capsule is very complex.
