Reem (rm), n. Etym: [Heb.] (Zoöl.)

Definition: The Hebrew name of a horned wild animal, probably the Urus.

Note: In King James's Version it is called unicorn; in the Revised Version,wild ox. Job xxxix. 9.

Reem, v. t. Etym: [Cf. Ream to make a hole in.] (Naut.)

Definition: To open (the seams of a vessel's planking) for the purpose of calking them. Reeming iron (Naut.), an iron chisel for reeming the seams of planks in calking ships.
