1. The last of the three Jewish divisions of the Old Testament, or
that portion not contained in the Law and the Prophets. It comprises
Psalms, Proverbs, Job, Canticles, Ruth, Lamentations, Ecclesiastes,
Esther, Daniel, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Chronicles.
