CHONDRIN

Chon"drin, n. Etym: [Gr. (Physiol. Chem.)

Definition: A colorless, amorphous, nitrogenous substance, tasteless and odorless, formed from cartilaginous tissue by long-continued action of boiling water. It is similar to gelatin, and is a large ingredient of commercial gelatin.
