CATMINT

Cat"nip`, Cat"mint`, n. (Bot.)

Definition: A well-know plant of the genus Nepeta (N. Cataria), somewhat like mint, having a string scent, and sometimes used in medicine. It is so called because cats have a peculiar fondness for it.
