There are four varieties of commercially viable coffee: Arabica, Liberica, Excelsa, and Robusta. Growers predominantly plant the Arabica species. Although less popular, Robusta tastes slightly more bitter and contains more caffeine.

Definition: The space which is behind and subordinate to a portrait or group of figures.
Note: The distance in a picture is usually divided into foreground, middle distance, and background. Fairholt.
